Iqbal Day Celebrations at Civic School: A Tribute to Our National Poet
Iqbal Day Celebrations at Civic School: A Tribute to Our National Poet Opening Speech: Honoring Iqbal’s Legacy Iqbal Day holds a special place in our hearts, reminding us of the inspiring words and vision of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the Poet of the East. This year at Civic School, we proudly commemorated Iqbal Day with a vibrant and meaningful presentation during the school assembly, where our students honored Iqbal’s contributions to literature, philosophy, and the dream of a united, progressive Pakistan. Recitations and Reflections: Bringing Iqbal’s Words to Life The event began with an opening speech by our Principal, who emphasized Iqbal’s philosophy of selfhood, resilience, and courage. Our young presenters took the stage one by one, sharing Iqbal’s poetry, ideas, and his vision for a self-reliant society. The assembly hall resonated with Iqbal’s powerful verses, as students recited lines from his famous works, including Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua and Shaheen. Through these recitations, students not only showcased their oratory skills but also conveyed Iqbal’s timeless messages of hope, unity, and pride. Role-Play: Bringing History to Life A highlight of the event was a role-play presentation, where a group of students took on the personas of notable historical figures, including Allama Iqbal. This role-play brought history to life, allowing students and teachers alike to appreciate Iqbal’s legacy and his impact on Pakistan’s journey toward independence. Reflecting on Iqbal’s Vision for the Future The assembly concluded with a reflective speech by one of our senior students, who reminded us that Iqbal’s vision is not just a part of our past but a beacon guiding us toward a brighter future. The Principal awarded certificates to the students who participated, recognizing their efforts and passion in celebrating our national heritage. Civic School’s Commitment to Iqbal’s Values Our Iqbal Day celebration was a reminder of the values we hold dear at Civic School: respect for our culture, pride in our identity, and the importance of learning from the wisdom of those who paved the way for us. We are proud of our students for embracing Iqbal’s teachings and look forward to nurturing these values in each of our learners. Nurturing Future Leaders with Iqbal’s Wisdom As we continue our journey in education, we hope to carry forward Iqbal’s legacy, fostering young minds that are confident, thoughtful, and ready to contribute to the world.
